The Children of God

John 1: 12 But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in his name.

Are you a child of God? To navigate your way through life and eternal life you need to become a son/daughter of the living God. You can become a child of God by believing and receiving His Son Jesus into your heart.

Today the word spiritual or spirituality refers to many sources of proposed spiritual powers. Many believe all you need is a spiritual connection with some sort of higher power. This higher power can be a tree, a group or anything you chose. The term spirituality takes on new meaning when connected to the Son of God. Spiritually becomes a meaningful relationship with God’s son Jesus Christ, the savior of this world.

Receiving Jesus is an intimate act of fellowship and union with the God of this universe through His Son. To be called a son or daughter of God indicates how important you are to God. He cares deeply about His kids. He cares deeply about you. God wants the best for you. You are on His mind and in His heart. He gave His only son to die on a cross in order to restore and ensure your relationship with Him.

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your lord, savior and friend, you can do this today. Simply ask Him to come into your heart, your life and save you from your self and sin. Becoming a child of God is not complicate or difficult however, it requires humble request. Will you make this request today? If you do, you will find yourself in the constant company of an almighty God and Father.

Prayer Focus: Lord Jesus I believe on the name of Jesus. I want to become a child of God and I want a deep, personal relationship with you. Please come into my heart, give me life, and make me your child.
